After our Singapore trip, I was still craving for Chicken Rice and one night, after office, a friend ask us to dine out before going home. I asked for a Singaporean place so I can enjoy once again and satisfy my Chicken Rice craving, and so, we all dined at Wee Nam Kee located at Ayala Triangle Gardens.
Wee Nam Kee is originally from Singapore but now, it can be enjoyed here in the Philippines when it was brought here and can be found at the heart of Makati CBD. It serves traditional Singaporean dishes like the Hainanese Chicken Rice which I was craving that time.
the restaurant is found among the array of restaurants in ATG. The place is big enough for large crowd to gather. At around dinner time, the place is not that full and we easily got seated. The place is well lit and it looks cozy. Each table has the usual condiments found on Singaporean restaurants. The staff is accomodating from the time we stepped inside the place until leaving it. They quickly seated us and assisted us. They took our orders and served it quickly. There was only a few waiting time. The service is very good!
The dishes we ordered are the Roasted Pork (Lechon Kawali) and Roasted Hainanse Chicken Rice which are from their signature dishes. We also ordered a Sweet Corn Soup with Chicken.
The dishes are yummy and is really like those I tasted back in Singapore. The meat is tender and the juices are all in it. Complemented with the dipping, which is unlimited, it is very yummy and at the same time, it is filling. It really satisfied my Chicken Rice cravings that night.
Overall, food is great, service is good and the place is comfortable, I give this a two thumbs up so, if ever you want a Chicken Rice experience that is truly like those in the streets of Singapore, try out Wee Nam Kee and I am sure, just like me, it will satisfy your Chicken Rice cravings.
