Exploring Bayukbok Cave

On the first weekend of January, I did not just had my first summit, but also, had my first cave exploration for the year. On our second day in Mt. Manalmon, as we got back to the jump-off area at around lunch, we decided to explore the caves before the afternoon ends. We all prepared our stuff after lunch and headed to Bayukbok Cave.

It was a bit raining then and the roads are slippery. Before you get to the cave area, you need to trek a short trail going deep to the cave area. This trail is on the side of the mountain and there are some area where you are just climbing sharp rocks. It was slippery at that time that when I reached the top, I am not quite sure how I did it and also, how I will get back later. It was really tiring already at that point but the adventure haven't started yet.

Lunch Out Series: Adobo Connection

It has been a while when we dines out and eat out for lunch since we got out of our mid shift schedule. We decided to eat on a nearby place since we still have a lot to finish in the office and we decided to try out Adobo Connection in Dela Rosa.

Located at the Dela Rosa Car Park, along Dela Rosa Street in Makati City, besides the array of restaurants is Adobo Connection. It is a small place just beside ElarZ. It was just small and can accommodate around 20 people. As you enter, you are greeted with the crew from the counter which is just a few feet from the main door. You get to order there and food is served to you.

First Climb of 2012: Mt. Manalmon Epic Weekend

It was the first weekend of 2012 and I was invited to a climb. It was an easy climb and it was set for an overnight camping trip at the foot of the Mt. Manalmon. I got excited since it was six months ago since I last climbed and I am longing to be with nature once again. Also, it was a camping trip! Something I wanted to do for a while.

My mountaineer friends planned an overnight camping trip at Mt. Manalmon even though this mountain has a difficulty for a beginner. You can actually reach the summit in less than 30 minutes. This mountain is located at San Miguel, Bulacan. It is part of the historic Biak na Bato National Park and the place offers a lot of activities that will run your adrenaline to over drive!

Brunch at Conti's

We wen't to Nuvali since we wanted to have breakfast there, however, we got there a bit late and it was almost noon. But since we're still hungry, we still decided to eat something on the restaurants which are currently open at that time. We chose Conti's which is a bit packed with people at that time.

Conti's Pastry Shop and Restaurant started out with a small store and soon expanded into branches around Metro Manila. They are quite famous because of their yummy cake Mango Bravo which is really to die for.

Early Morning Drive at Nuvali

We planned to have breakfast at Nuvali one morning before the year ends and so, early morning, we prepared and had a drive to Sta. Rosa, Laguna going to Nuvali.

Most of the shops and restaurants were still opening at the time we got there and so, we looked around first before deciding where to dine. We saw the big carps in the pond where you can feed for a fee. Actually feeding them is free, only that, you can only feed them with fish feeds that can be bought there for PHP15 per pack.

The Year That Was: Looking back on 2011

I started 2011 with various goals in mind. And it turn out that I have achieved some but haven't done most. However I had done more than what I thought I could do during the past months. All I can say is that 2011 was the year I traveled.

I started the year completely lost and wanted to do something different, something I haven't done before and so I signed up to different things, mostly those stuff I was dying to try out ever since. I literally became a 'YES MAN' since I never said no in all the invites. I was the one asked by people who wanted to go for a trip and they instantly get a travel buddy courtesy of my boredom in life.
