We woke up the next day very dark. West Peninsula Villas is running on generator and unfortunately, our room's was broken. Good thing we packed our stuff the night before so we just need to get dressed and fix some final stuff before leaving using one small candle.
We checked out of the lodge at about 6am to catch the early ferry boat going to the main land. The jeepney that bought us there was the same one we used to go back to Guijalo Port. We registered first before boarding the small ferry. I think it was P30 for the terminal fee and P5 for the environmental fee. We were the first passengers at that time and we need to wait for other passengers before we finally go.It was another two hour boat ride and we are preparing for our butts to cramp on this long ride.
The reason we left early for Guijalo Port is because we are hoping that we reach the main land on a high tide. It is because Sabang Port has no actual port and the boat will dock on the beach. If it was high tide, there are no worries since we can reach the shore easily. However, if it was low tide, the ferry couldn't reach the shores therefore, porters need to carry us to the shore. We initially didn't like that so we were all hoping that we get there on a high tide.
It was a 2 hour butt cramping trip to Sabang Port and we are all getting restless and wanted to stretch. As we near the Port, we noticed that it was a low tide and we have no choice but to get the help of the porters so that we could get on the shores dry.
Our stuff was the first to cross the waters. Our driver was already transported there by the strong porters. He was assigned to watch out for our stuff while we cross. I was so nervous of my stuff because my bag contains my camera and when I saw the porter carry it below other stuff, squeezing it, i became uneasy. I fear that the camera would slip out of the bag into the waters. It was a horror when I imagine it >.<. Soon, our stuff were safe on t he shore and I was relieved. It was our time to be carried there.

Kuya Yunan supported by the porters |
The porters carry male passengers one man at a time while they sit on their shoulders. The female passengers however are carried by two people. They are sited at the shoulders and one is assisting the other porter's arm as they cross. They are good in reading waves because they know when to start carrying people and when not. I got a chance to ran to my camera as I was deliverd to the shore and take pictures of others being carried. We got a little wet but it was okay. We paid them P20 for the service they gave us.
Soon we are back to our van for our next adventure, CWC (I'll be posting a separate entry for that). We had an hour ride going there and since we didn't had any breakfast, we were eating the stuff we bought the night before.
Wake Boarders at CWC |
It was almost noon when we got to CWC. We had our lunch there and tried Wake Boarding. We also used their pool after we finished our Wake Boarding adventure. At about 4pm, we all boarded the van to go home.
We stopped by a small store at the road to buy some pasalubong (because a lot of people know where we went and we need to give them something). Bicol's famous pasalubong is anything made of Pili Nut. We bought Sweetened Pili, Pili Nut Brittle and Pili Tarts. After buying, we all went back to the van and bid goodbye to Camsur.
Lots of Pili Products to choose from |
Our next stop over is in Quezon where we had our CR break. After a while, we stopped for a Jollibee store for our dinner. It was our last major stop over before continuing our journey back to Manila. That was the last town I was awake. The next thing I knew, we are already in Muntinlupa and it was almost 12 midnight and about to go home. We bid farewell to Kuya Yunan and thanked him for the tour. We all ride a tricycle to our street and slept because there is still work the other day.
Camsur was really fun and I hope I can get back to that place some other time. :)
