Lunch Out Series: Rub Ribs & BBQ

During our last few days in our Makati office, we decided to make the best of all the foodie haven there is. We wanted to try Rub Ribs & BBQ for a while now and so we decided to have our team lunch out there.

A few minutes away from our Makati office, we took a cab to get us to Baler St. corner Nicanor Garcia to Rub Ribs & BBQ. Parking space is available at the front of the establishment or just park anywhere you want. I'm not sure how difficult it is to park at night since there are quite a lot of establishments in the area.

It was quite early that day so there are a few customers in the restaurant. The staff greeted us warmly and assisted us as we looked the their menu. I like the ambiance here. I like the fee of the vintage frames and posters they have hanging around.

The menu has a lot of selections such as sandwiches, beef, chicken, pork and fish dishes, as well as pasta soup and salads. They also have a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, perfect for the ribs. However, we already know what we want there. Since we are a group, we got their Raki's BBQ Ribs Family Brunch that is good for 3-4 people. This comes with two slabs of ribs plus three sidings. Sidings can be potato fries, roasted garlic mashed potato, grilled butter corn, garlic spinach and mushroom, Texas toast, bacon and potato salad, coleslaw, buttered vegetables or spiced fried rice (Sprice).

This is not cookie monster! two slabs of ribs and sauce.

Generally, the ribs are superb! I'm not that good in judging steaks but I liked it. The steak sauce goes well with it. The meat on the ribs are almost falling off as you eat it. It was really good especially for the price. The sides are also good. I got the bacon and potato salad. This balances the meat and all the spices in it. Although the serving is small for the individual price, it is still okay considering the serving size of the ribs and its price.
