Brunch at Conti's

We wen't to Nuvali since we wanted to have breakfast there, however, we got there a bit late and it was almost noon. But since we're still hungry, we still decided to eat something on the restaurants which are currently open at that time. We chose Conti's which is a bit packed with people at that time.

Conti's Pastry Shop and Restaurant started out with a small store and soon expanded into branches around Metro Manila. They are quite famous because of their yummy cake Mango Bravo which is really to die for.

Early Morning Drive at Nuvali

We planned to have breakfast at Nuvali one morning before the year ends and so, early morning, we prepared and had a drive to Sta. Rosa, Laguna going to Nuvali.

Most of the shops and restaurants were still opening at the time we got there and so, we looked around first before deciding where to dine. We saw the big carps in the pond where you can feed for a fee. Actually feeding them is free, only that, you can only feed them with fish feeds that can be bought there for PHP15 per pack.

Sweet Treats at Cinnabon

On our way home from our Batangas weekend getaway, we stopped by a gas station in South Luzon Expressway around San Pedro, Laguna to grab some snacks. The yummy smelling treats of Cinnabon greeted us as we passed by their small store there.

My friend bought a plate of Mini Chocobron and I was so tempted to buy myself one not only because it smelled good but also it looked so yummy and mouth watering. And so, I bought a box of four to bring home and share with.

Makiling Traverse Adventure Climb

There was an invite on a Makiling Traverse Climb, popularly known as MakTrav to mountaineers, and it had about 20 plus people confirming to attend the event. The number of attendees grew as the days passed and finally I was convinced to join them so I invited a friend and we both agreed to join the group in this unique adventure.

Mt. Makiling is a famous mountain located at some parts of Laguna and Batangas. Legend has it that it is guarded by the Forest Nymph Maria Makiling. The shape of the mountain itself resembles her in a lying position. I believed that as a child looking closely at the mountain and identifying her features as we pass by.

Side Trip to Taytay Falls

After our Pahiyas and Kamay ni Hesus trip in the morning, we all decided to push through our initial itinerary for that day, to go to Majayjay, Laguna and take a dip at Taytay Falls.

Majayjay, Laguna is just a jeepney away from Lucban. We initially took a trike from the town to get us to the jeepney terminal. From there, the jeepneys will drop us by the falls. Our group got separated to the others and the tricycle driver told us that he'll get us to the falls for an additional fee. Plus he will fetch us at about an hour to get us back to Lucban. We agreed and we all just met at the entrance of the falls where you will pay P20 entrance fee to Taytay Falls.

The entrance and parking area is a large vacant lot where people had established some sari sari stores for the overnighters. there is also a small house where you can use their bathroom for a fee. It also has a videoke machine for those who want to sing their hearts out. There is a small stairway beside a sari sari store going down. This is the pathway to the falls.
