Lago del Rey Challenge at CWC in Camsur

Since we didn't proceed with our camping at Calaguas as originally planned, we allotted our time to go to Camarines Sur after our morning surfing at Bagasbas Beach.

We got to Camarines Sur at around 2 in the afternoon and proceeded at Camarines Sur Water Complex or CWC to challenge again wakebording. However, when we arrived there, we were on the end of the waitlist and checked the beginners area. All the pros are there because the wider wakeboarding area is under repair.

Place to Stay in Busan: Blue Backpacker's Hostel

We stayed in a backpacker's inn in Busan and it was just a few minutes walk from Seomyeon Station. It was called Blue Backpacker's Hostel and it was a cheap place to stay wherein it is comfortable for us travelers.

The place was quite difficult to locate given the map they had on the website, however, with the help of a few friendly people, we were able to find it and for about an hour of being lost in the cold streets of Busan, we finally found it and checked in.

Food Trippin' Daet: KSarap

When we were in Daet, we had lunch in some local restaurant there that serves really yummy food in a very affordable price. The place is called KSarap.

Located at 2-025 Vinzons Avenue Daet, Camarines Norte. It is just along the road and it has a really big sign so you won't miss it. Also, this place is quite popular to the locals so, you just ask anyone and I am sure, they will gladly point it out to you.

Place to Stay in Makati: Tiara Oriental Hotel

We need to deploy something in work and it needs us to be in the office at 2am in the morning. We cannot go home and go back in the middle of the night and so, our company allowed us to stay in a nearby hotel to sleep and take a short rest before going back at 2am.

They chose Tiara Oriental Hotel which is just a few blocks away from our building. It was good since we
just need to cross the street and walk for a bit to get there. It is located at Malugay corner Talisay Streets,San Antonio Village, Makati City.

Backpacking Korea: From Busan to Seoul

It has been months when we booked a promo air fare ticket to South Korea. It was also just a few months ago when we applied for a South Korean Visa in the Korean Embassy in Taguig and got one. Now, it was time to push through our plans and go backpacking in Korea for five days.

During the months of December to February (and up to the early weeks of March), Korea is in winter and so, I packed some winter clothes in my heavy duty Sandugo Backpack. I always liked to use it since I don't want pulling some luggage when I walk. Also, I feel more convenient using it. And so, all my long sleeves, thermal clothes, jackets, toiletries and shoes goes in and magically it all fit in (I'm so proud of my improved skills in packing).

Breakfast at Grams Diner

After the Condura Skyway Run 2012: Run for the Mangroves, we were all looking for something to eat. Since we were on the Alabang area, we decided to go to Molito Commercial Complex to look for something to eat.

Upon parking our car, we went to the nearest place we saw and it was Grams Diner. The place has a few guests early that morning and it was nice to hang out since there are a few pwople.

First Run for 2012: Condura Skyway Marathon 2012: Run for the Mangroves

My first run this 2012 was with Condura Skyway Marathon 2012: Run for the Mangroves wherein you will run at Skyway. It was my first time to do it and I am excited since I pass by it everyday and now, I'm gonna run it.

The whole event was organized at Alabang near the entrance of Skyway. They built a small village there where there are booths for the events and a large stage. The participants can stay there ang enjoy themselves before and after the run. It was convenient for me to join this since it was just near our home and I can go there on commute.

Afternoon Snack at Goto King

It was a lazy weekend afternoon and after hours of shopping and doing some errands at SM Southmall, my mom and I decided to have a quick snack before finally going home. We went to the supermarket area to look for Goto King since she wanted to eat lugaw (rice porridge).

We found the small stall of Goto King and ordered some lugaw. They usually have stalls in malls and sometimes a bigger area where you can actually dine in. They serve a variety of dishes from goto up to rice meals.

Surfing Bagasbas with Hangloose Surfing School

It was my second time to surf and I was super excited like the first time. This time, it would be at Bagasbas Beach where the waves are much much higher than in Baler. But I am up for the challenge and nothing will make me more excited than this day!

We went to Bagasbas Beach early Sunday morning. We were all ready to take the challenge. We went to the nearest, and I think the only surf shop in the are, Hangloose Surfing School. They are found just across the street in front of the beach, beside the police station. It is quite easy to spot since they have a large signage in front.

Cold Dip at Mampurong River

Mampurong River wasn't a tourist destination in Camarines Norte. It is known by the locals but very few who visit here barely know this place. Thanks to our local tour guide, Oliven, who basically grew up in this place, eventually toured us here to get to experience it.

He told us that all the guests he brought at this place haven't had any complains and loved the place, and so we were intrigued and at the same time, got curious of how the place was.

Exploring Daet, Camarines Norte

It was almost a year ago when we went to Bicol to explore the pretty islands of Caramoan in Camarines Sur and now we are off again there to explore Daet in Camarines Norte. Since it was the first long weekend of the year, we all agreed to have a short vacation and explore a place far from the city.

It was an eight hour bus ride going there and we booked our ticket at PhilTranco departing on a Friday night. It was more convenient buying the tickets ahead because you will just go there and wait for the bus and then go. We settled on our seats and slept in the eight hour bumpy ride going to Daet.

Friday Night at Trellis

It was a Friday night after a long week of client support at the office. It was a tiring week and the best way to end it is a night out with a lot of food and overflowing drinks!

Trellis is located at the ground floor of Telcom Bldg along Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue in Makati City. It was just a few minutes walk from our office and after working hours, we immediately proceeded there.
